Propolis is probably the best treatment available for sealing cuts, wounds, ulcers & sores, and can also be used to treat damaged fins.
Propolis utilises a natural waxy Substance produced by bees to protect the hives from infection and as a result is FAR more effective than standard antiseptic sprays, which in most cases simply wash off the moment the fish is returned!
Using Propolis could not be easier, simply dab dry the area as much as possible to aid adhesion and then apply Propolis directly to the wound. Return the fish carefully to the water and on emersion, Propolis will form an effective seal over the treated area.
Propolis is available in a handy 30ml bottle with pump spray.
