• The Icon MX Uptide Power has the classic uptide rod action which combines a sensitive tip with an increasingly powerful mid and butt section. The 6 – 10oz casting weight covers all the popular uptide sinkers and it works really well with an 8oz sinker plus a large bait. The tip sits nicely in the tide and registers bits perfectly whilst resisting bouncing the lead out of the sea bed if the boat is swaying about on the tide.

The action is just right for dealing with all the popular species and it is great fun for catching hounds, rays and codling but with a reserve of power to handle tope and congers.

The High modulus carbon blank is cut in the classic long tip, short butt style and the tip sports 8 x Fuji BNOG lined three leg guides plus matching tip ring. The tip is glazed to aid bite detection. The handle has a Japanese shrink finish with a Fuji DPS reel seat, shaped EVA fore grip and a comfortable rubber button.
